Reba McEntire to Release Another Vintage Concert Special on YouTube This Friday

Who's ready for another Reba weekend? After Reba McEntire shared her 1994 concert special Reba: Live on YouTube last month, MusicRow reports that she'll do it all over again with another '90s concert this coming Friday.

Reba in Concert was filmed at Austin's Frank Erwin Center back in 1990 and includes some of her biggest hits, including “Fancy,” You Lie" and "Rumor Has It." (Speaking of "Rumor Has It," Reba will release a 30th-anniversary edition of that album on September 11.)

In retrospect, the concert film also serves as a tribute to several of her original band members, who were tragically killed in a plane crash the following year.

ba adds in a statement, “This show is very special to me because it features my friends that we lost in a plane crash 29 years ago. Their love for music and incredible talents deserve to be seen again, and I’m so glad that we’re getting the chance to stream this concert for the first time ever."

Featuring 16 iconic performances, Reba in Concert will premiere at 8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT and will include a chat with Reba on her YouTube channel.

63-Year-Old Dwight Yoakam Is a First-Time Dad

63-year-old DWIGHT YOAKAM became a first-time dad last week.  His wife Emily gave birth to a boy named Dalton.  He posted the news on Friday and included pics of them headed to the hospital.  He also snuck in a shameless plug in the caption.

Quote, "Like the lyric from the song 'Waterfall' that Dwight wrote Emily on his '3 Pears' album, says . . . 'Babies get born even in a pandemic lockdown.'

"With great joy and happiness Dwight and Emily announce the birth this past Sunday of their new baby boy.  Dalton Loren Yoakam.  Born 08-16-2020."  The couple were married back in March.

Dolly Parton to Release Christmas Album, Featuring Duets With Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus & Bublé

Finally some good news in 2020: Dolly Parton will be releasing a Christmas album on October 2. Billboard reports A Holly Dolly Christmas is the country legend's first holiday album in 30 years and will feature duets with a variety of famous friends.

Parton will sing holiday tunes with Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon, and her brother, Randy Parton--and the first single will be a duet with Michael Bublé called "Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas."

Parton finished the album after the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, so the duets were mostly recorded separately.

"We've been very smart, very careful, because we're trying to protect ourselves and I'm an older person," she said. "I'm not out to get it if I don’t [have] to, I'm hoping I can outrun all that.

We've been all very, very smart, but it didn't slow us up.”

Dolly Parton to Record Audiobook Version of Upcoming Book "Songteller: My Life in Lyrics"

Dolly Parton's dropping a new book later this year just in time for Christmas--and now The Country Daily reports that she'll also be recording the audiobook of the project herself.

Songteller: My Life in Lyrics will arrive on November 17 in hardcover, CD and digital audiobook formats. The book will explore Parton's life and career through 175 of her most beloved tracks.

Back in June, Parton announced the book by humorously saying in a Twitter video, "My songs are like my children. I expect them to support me when I'm old."

On Thursday, she announced the audiobook by sharing a snippet in which she reveals the inspiration behind her most iconic hit, "Jolene."
