Trisha Yearwood Meets The #BettyWhiteChallenge And Then Some

Trisha Yearwood understood the assignment and got the job done! Monday (January 17th) would've been Betty White's 100th and people were asked to honor her by donating to animal charities on that day on behalf of Betty.  Trisha appeared on TalkShopLive Monday to contribute to the #BettyWhiteChallenge and in just about 15 minutes she helped raise more than $24,000 for an animal charity called Dottie's Yard, according to TMZ. The final total is still pending as donations continued to pour in.

Trisha has also reportedly agreed to donate $10,000 of her own.

Kenny Chesney Sells Music Catalogs

Superstar Kenny Chesney just sold his music catalog to British investment company Hipgnosis Song Management for an undisclosed amount.

The sale, which includes 80% of Chesney’s recorded music royalties, covers the superstar’s discography from his critically acclaimed 1994 debut In My Wildest Dreams through 2017’s Live in No Shoes Nation Chesney.

The deal totals 22 albums, plus rights to future greatest hits, live albums, and acoustic releases.

A catalog sale craze took off in late 2020 when Bob Dylan moved his massive songwriting collection for a reported $300 million to Universal Music Publishing Group.
Catalog sales are largely impacting classic rock and pop artists like Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner, and Mötley Crüe. Bruce Springsteen holds the largest reported sale moving his life's musical work to Sony in a reported $500 million deal.
