Final Show for Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson wrapped up his touring career with an emotional farewell concert at Nashville's Nissan Stadium Saturday night.  After a weather delay, Jackson thanked fans for supporting him through a 40-year career, reflected on chasing his dream after moving to Nashville from Georgia, and reminded the crowd, "I'm not dead," before launching into his biggest hits.  The sold-out show featured tribute performances from some of country music's biggest stars, including Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Lainey Wilson.  A condensed version of the concert will air on NBC later this year.

$2 Billion for Garth Brooks?

Garth Brooks is reportedly considering selling his music catalog.  The Wall Street Journal reported that the deal could be valued as high as two-billion-dollars.  If finalized, the sale could include the country singer's rights and catalog of recorded music.  It would become one of the largest sales of a single artist's catalog in history. The Recording Industry Association of America recently honored Brooks with the first-ever Artist of a Lifetime award. He is the only artist in history to earn 10 Diamond album certifications.
