(Richmond, IN)--By a 4-2 vote Monday afternoon, the Richmond Community School Board approved a RIF proposal that eliminates 19 positions, including six certified teaching positions.  Much of the discussion in the relatively brief meeting Monday centered around the removal of the Director of Operations position.  "We have administrators that feel overworked and then you're going to push it down to principals who are overworked and then you're going to push it down to teachers that are overworked.  And then that affects the main focus (of why) we're here today - those kids," said Board member Mike Elorreaga.  He was one of the two members who voted against the RIF proposal.  Kym Pickering was the other.
