Tennessee Lawmaker Introduces Bill To Build Dolly Parton Statue At State Capitol

Hail to the queen!  Everybody LOVES Dolly, who was born and raised in the Smoky Mountains.
And the proper way to honor the country legend is with a statue at the State Capitol in her home state of Tennessee.

Thats exactly what congressman John Mark Windle has proposed in a recent bill. According to CNN, the statue would be placed on Capitol grounds in Nashville, and would be commissioned “to recognize her for all that she has contributed to this state.”

If it's commissioned, the Parton sculpture will face the historic Ryman Auditorium, a music venue where she's played throughout her career.

Dolly has made so many contributions to her native Tennessee, like her recent million dollar donation to Vanderbilt University to help find a coronavirus vaccine last year.
