(Richmond, IN)--Richmond and Wayne County leaders on Thursday again discussed the balancing act of trying to keep local businesses open and protecting the public against Covid-19 as the number of local case and the positivity rate continues to rise.  Richmond Mayor Dave Snow and Wayne County Commissioner Ken Paust addressed the prospects for local businesses with Kelley and Ray on 101.7 The Point.  Here’s Mayor Dave Snow talking about what could happen if businesses remain open and the spread continues.  "Then we have a whole different nightmare on our hands.  It will drop consumer confidence.  Nobody is going to want to leave their house or go to a restaurant or shop, and we're still going to lose our local businesses."  And this is Wayne County Commissioner Ken Paust.  "We want to keep (local businesses) open as much as possible.  But, at the same time, we have a responsibility to the health and welfare of everybody in the community."  Paust on Thursday expressed concern about spread at Halloween parties Friday and Saturday night.
